5 Point Breastplate „Milano“ with Faux Lambskin Covers

Discreet and elegant 5 point breastplate of Italian design, made of high-quality leather, partly soft foam padded. It combines the benefits of a classic breast collar (strong saddle hold by girth straps) with those of a conventional 3 point brestplate (no slipping along the neck due to snap hook attachment to the saddle/ tight fit on the horse).
In contrast to classic breast collars and provided that it is correctly adjusted, this breastplate does not restrict the freedom of movement oft he horse’s shoulder, as it is lying above the point of shoulder and is held diagonally rather than rectangularly upward towards the saddle.
Martingale and breast strap of this option are covered with detachable (hook and loop) faux fur covers for maximum comfort.
 
Easy handling: attach upper snap hooks to the breastplate rings, adjust the lateral leather straps to the required length once and then simply place the end loops over the girth buckles; engage snap hook on the martingale loop into the bottom ring of the saddle girth – done.  
 
Technical particularities:  
Instead of being fastened by buckle or sewing, the martingale strap of this special breastplate is fastened  with a special lock button (a patented, German branded product), which can only be opened and closed with at least 2 fingers and is secured against unintentional release by a spring-actuated locking mechanism.
Martingale fork and martingale strap are designed as two separate parts, which means that they can be adjusted independently of each other, and are linked by means of a ring. Depending on its required length, the martingale fork can be connected to this ring either with or without a snap hook (included) and is adjustable in two ways (punching holes at end of fork and on fork straps).
Due to this modular design of the breastplate, both martingale parts can be attatched to and removed from the breast strap part within seconds which makes this breastplate an ideal solution also for riders who primarily care about their backward slipping saddle and do not need or want to use a martingale every day.
