Unique combination of a breathable, very light soft gel pad with front and rear edges made of medically tanned real lambskin and a Dri-Lex® layer on its underside.
Dri-Lex is a unique material used in textile industries, since it combines hydrophobic and hydrophilic fibers in a composite structure, keeping the horse’s back comfortable and dry. It is also known from shoe production where it is used for insoles.
Shock-absorbing anti-slip surfaces provide for a safe positioning of the pad and for perfect pressure distribution. Optimal fit also for horses with a weak or deep backbone conformation.
Materials used for this product were chosen with a particular focus on skin compatibility and skin protection, as the Acavallo soft gel neither absorbs liquids, nor odours or bacteria (non-toxic, hypoallergenic, antibacterial).
A substantial benefit provided by the also antibacterial lambskin lies in the fact that it does adsorb humidity/sweat, while dissipating it to the environment very quickly and that, contrary to many synthetic materials used in equestrian products, real lambskin does NOT take on any electrostatic charge.
Application: Pads of this series are designed for being placed between square/numnah and the saddle. However, due to their properties m. a. they can be also put directly on the horse’s back of course.
Very easy to clean by machine washing (gentle cycle) or hand wash with a mild detergent.
